As Manager, State & Local Public Affairs for Tallgrass, Drew Kramer assists the innovative energy infrastructure company in securing regulator approval and stakeholder endorsement of its pipeline projects and other initiatives. Drew develops and maintains productive working relationships with industry and business groups, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, agricultural associations, labor advocates and others with an interest in ensuring rural communities have access to economic vitality and affordable, reliable energy.

Prior to Tallgrass, Drew spent 14 years working in those same rural communities on behalf of the wholesale power supplier Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association and its rural electric cooperative members. He came to Tri-State after nearly 10 years in a senior position at a Denver public affairs firm consulting with government and private sector clients on the responsible development of energy, natural resources and transportation projects. Before landing in Colorado, he spent more than a decade in various communications and public policy positions in Washington, D.C. and New York City.

Over the last 20+ years, Drew has served both his personal and professional interests by serving on boards and committees for several organizations, including: the National Rural Economic Developers Association; Economic Development Council of Colorado; Craig (Colo.) Chamber of Commerce; Club 20; Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado; Adams County (Colo.) Regional Economic Partnership; Wyoming Economic Development Association; Nebraska Economic Developers Association; New Mexico IDEA; Denver Museum of Nature & Science’s Institute for Science & Policy; and the Rocky Mountain Institute’s eLab Accelerator program. He has significant experience in public speaking and is a skilled writer.

A Montana native and Boston sports fan, Drew holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stanford University and resides in Denver with his wife, Brett, and teenage sons Oliver and Channing.
