WiM Colorado | Manufacturing Day Tour & Networking at Watertower Place
Join us for a tour of historic downtown Pueblo’s Watertower Place (pueblowatertowerplace.com) – originally Nucholls Meat Packing Plant, refabbed into a creative business community including Johnny’s Metal Works & Boiler Shop, TankMatez production facility, Southern Colorado Innovation Link (SCIL) and the Steel City Maker Center (SCMC), to name a few.
The guided tour will begin at 3 p.m. MT and will include a history of the site and the current manufacturing companies it houses, followed by a speaker panel of local manufacturers and WiM leaders. In attendance will be representatives from the Pueblo Greater Chamber of Commerce, Latino Chamber of Commerce, Pueblo West Chamber of Commerce, Pueblo Economic Development Corp, Colorado State University Pueblo, Pueblo Community College, and local manufacturers from companies like PEWAG, Vestas, indieDwell, JMEagle, Trane, and Krage, as well as female engineering and STEM students from local high schools and colleges.
The panel will be followed by a reception with free open bar and hors devours sponsored by Legacy Bank, PuebloPlex and HUB International, and will conclude at 5 p.m. Watertower Place and the sponsors will be available for an open-house prior and after the event, from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. for anyone who would like to see more. The building is located right on Pueblo’s Riverwalk with indoor and outdoor dining and shops, so there will be plenty to do within walking distance for those who’d like to stay overnight.
