Success Stories

“There are so many opportunities. Yes, you won’t get a grant to cover all of it, but the grant gets you going and now you have an opportunity to say, “here’s where I need help” and then ME steps up and helps with whatever you might need. It is huge to have a partner like that in the industry.”

Unlock State Funding to Train and Grow Your Workforce

Are you familiar with the Skill Advance Colorado Job Training Grant (formerly known as the Colorado First and Existing Industry Grant)? If not, your company may be missing out on one of Colorado’s most valuable opportunities to strengthen and expand your workforce.

New Support for Small Manufacturers

Skill Advance Colorado recently introduced an enhanced option for companies with 25 or fewer employees, allowing eligible businesses to receive increased training reimbursements—up to $3,800 per employee per year under the small-business track.

How the Funding Works

Skill Advance Colorado is a reimbursement-based grant program. That means your company pays for the training up front, and the State reimburses you for approved costs after the training is completed. Funding levels include:

  • Up to $2,800 per trainee for new employees
  • Up to $2,500 per trainee for existing employees
  • Total awards typically range from $150,000 to $200,000 per company, depending on eligibility and available funds

These reimbursements can significantly offset your out-of-pocket costs and make high-quality training far more affordable.
