Celebrating 9 years!
In my 43+ years of business experience, I have come to learn the value of working together. Nine years ago, I had the chance to join a group of manufacturers committed to working together. Now, I proudly lead that group as the Chair of the Colorado Advanced Manufacturing Association (CAMA), and I am excited to celebrate our nine-year milestones.
CAMA’s leadership in innovative workforce development programs over the years is quite notable:
- We have sponsored or participated in six Cardboard Challenges where CAMA members judged over 1,100 projects and provided thousands of dollars in prize money.
- With Gates Corporation, we developed and launched the Empowering Creators Program, attracting middle school students to manufacturing careers through 6 events with 240 students.
- CAMA provided the funds to launch CareerWise as a standalone organization to bring youth apprenticeships to Colorado.
- This year, we are launching Jumpstart a Revolution to inspire and train a new diverse community into lifelong manufacturing careers.
As the only statewide member-based trade association exclusively dedicated to advancing manufacturing in Colorado, CAMA has helped its members connect and grow their businesses. CAMA has brought its members together through more than 40 virtual meetings with over 1,500 participants during the pandemic alone, delivering expert advice on PPE, PPP, emergency loans, supply chain tools, business development opportunities, and more.

What we have learned is that CAMA Members are a special breed. They understand there is no such thing as a free lunch. If you want to grow your business, you can’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. CAMA members are the essential doers, investing time and money to grow manufacturing in Colorado.
Are you a doer wanting to help grow manufacturing in Colorado? I invite you to join us, and CAMA Members continue to work together to advance manufacturing in Colorado for the years to come.
